Dr. Sandra Solano, MD, MS-Founder and Executive Director

Dr. Sandra Solano was born in Bogota, Colombia, where she became a physician. Dr. Solano came to Ohio to pursue post-graduate Preventive Medicine and Public Health studies at The Ohio State University. She began her work at The Ohio State University Medical Center as a researcher and then as Director of Clinical Quality. Dr. Solano continued her career working with the State of Ohio as Director of Health Statistics and State Registrar at the Department of Health; Director of Research and Assistant Director of Medicaid at the Department of Job and Family Services; and Health Policy Advisor within the Governor’s office. Finally, she served as Principal for McGuire & Associates, providing project technical assistance and evaluation services for preventive programs in rural Appalachia.
While Dr. Solano enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career in public health, she experienced burnout and emotional and physical symptoms related to trauma. She continued studying complementary health modalities and how they could improve wellness. After extensive research, Sandra chose several tools to learn and practice. One of the most powerful tools that Sandra experienced was the HeartMath’s Resilience Advantageā„¢ program. Because of her personal transformation with HeartMath’s techniques, Sandra became a certified master trainer for the program and now consults with HeartMath as part of their organizational Health Care Team. She also became a HeartAmbassador and joined The Fyera Foundation as its Chief Medical Officer. She also became certified in Sound Therapy through the ancient practice of Tibetan Singing Bowls and Holographic Memory ResolutionĀ® as additional tools to help others manage stress and emotional health.
After personally experiencing and practicing these tools, Sandra feels connected with her authentic self. She feels a sense of hope and peace that she wants to share with others. Learning about and experiencing these techniques brought her a new understanding of wellness as a state of balance and wholeness. Her medical training allows Sandra to appreciate the importance of traditional and complementary health care. Sandra’s passion is to help others find that connection, authenticity, peace, and hope she can now experience.
